Consumer Relations at Cobblestone.

Cobblestone takes seriously its obligations to deliver consumer reports promptly and accurately and support consumers who have been involved in a Cobblestone transaction and wish to request a copy of their report or dispute an item reported by a consumer reporting agency (CRA).

Summary of Rights — Consumer Reports & Identity Theft.

The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) — which promotes the accuracy,  fairness and privacy of information in the files of CRAs — provides you with certain rights regarding your background check. You can see a detailed summary of  your rights under the FCRA here.

If you think you have been a victim of identity theft, you may take additional steps to assert your rights and protect your privacy.

Requesting Report Copies & Disputing Reported Items.

If you would like to request a copy of a report previously generated by Cobblestone about you or someone you represent, or have a dispute about such a report, please complete this form and submit it with appropriate personal identification.

To protect your privacy, Cobblestone requires appropriate identification of you or the  person you represent before we will disclose a prior report. Cobblestone maintains prior reports for up to 1 year.

If you are disputing a reported item, Cobblestone will review its records, and, depending on the nature of the dispute, may open an inquiry with the CRA that reported the disputed item, before a response is returned to you. Please specifically identify the disputed item(s).

A response to a dispute often takes less than 30 days, but may be extended.
